2" 24 Track master tape Transfers
We operate a dedicated, fully calibrated Otari MTR 90 MKII 2″ 24-track multitrack recorder to handle high end studio master tapes with uncompromised precision.
Track Configuration: 2″ 24 Track
Reel Size Capability: 10.5″ and 14″
Supported Speeds: 15 IPS (inches per second) and 30 IPS
Equalisation and Alignment: NAB equalisation @ 15 IPS and IEC equalisation @ 30 IPS, with per-session alignment across all channels.
Physical Tape Preparation and Care
Magnetic tape physically degrades over time. Before running any client mediaacross our heads, we perform a thorough physical inspection.
Sticky shed syndrome baking: 2″ and 1/4″ tapes suffering from binder hydrolysis (sticky shed) are gently baked in a tempurature controlled environment for roughly 12 hours to restore structure and to avoid damaging the tape or playback equipment.
Physical Splicing and Shell Replacement: brittle splices and damaged leaders are repaired prior to transfer; for damaged reels or cassette shells, we transfer the media over to a donor prior to playback.

Audio Restoration
Audio restoration helps bring ageing or damaged recordings back to life by reducing unwanted noise and improving clarity. Issues such as tape hiss, rumble, hum, clicks and pops can be carefully addressed while preserving the character of the original recording
Rough Mixes
A rough mix provides a balanced, listenable version of your session recordings. Basic mix levels, panning and processing are used to give you an idea of how the finished track could sound and to make it easier to review or share
High resolution digital delivery
Once digitised, your files are carefully checked for quality, tagged and uploaded directly to secure cloud storage.
